Founded in 1918 as a relief ministry to retired Southern Baptist pastors and their widows, GuideStone Financial Resources has become one of the largest providers of benefit services to more than 36,000 churches representing more than 185,000 individual participants. For more than 90 years, our mission has remained the same: to “serve those who serve the Lord” among SBC churches, ministries, hospitals and educational institutions. Southern Baptists have come to rely on GuideStone as their source for financial products that meet their unique needs. It’s only natural, then, that they would ask GuideStone to provide property and casualty insurance to protect churches in the same way our retirement and insurance products protect their ministers.

The GuideStone Property and Casualty Program was developed in direct response to our participants’ requests. In 2007, denominational approval was given to create two new affiliates: a captive insurance company and a related distribution agency affiliate. GuideStone Risk Management Co. and GuideStone Agency Services were born, and the GuideStone Property and Casualty Program was launched in September 2008.

The GuideStone Property and Casualty Program continues a proud heritage of performance guided by values. Our goal is to help Southern Baptist churches get church insurance coverages that are appropriate to their unique mission, risk tolerance and program needs.
